Windows Phone 10 : New and Thrilling But...

Post By - Tanmay | 1/24/2015 06:47:00 am

Windows is trying to make an entry with its Lumia Phones and this time it's coming with all the new OS. As in android, the synchronization is that powerful among all devices that it doesn't let you face same irritating thing again across your other devices. Microsoft tries to built better integration and sync using The Action Center.

Lets take a look at Windows 10 for Phone, will it be able to change the perceptions of android users.

The Home Screen: Live tiles are life of Windows Phones. Everybody loves them, so, it's going to be there in Windows Phone 10 but it will be transparent above the background.

A Better Sync and Integration: Windows 10 promises to come with a familiar experience to sync data and interact your smartphone with PC. The Action Center will sync all of your connected applications as Outlook, Skype, Messaging services across all connected devices with particular account. Great!! Better late than never.

#hashtagManiaWithCortana: Cortana is now a bit more smart. You can ask her to make a text hashtag and she will do it for you. Social Network Freaks..., Are You Listening ?

Office Work gone Easy: On MSDN, Microsoft describes Office Universal apps for Windows 10 with better touch experience, real time annotations slides, inking feature and touch first controls. Looks like a lot things are there to experience. Get Ready.

Keyboard with Joystick: wtf!! With Cortana integrated, WP10's Keyboard also sports a virtual precision pointing sticks (I've seen them in my dad's old Dell Latitude) which is available in the left down corner and will let you navigate cursor with ease. Source

This is Spartan!!! Browser: IE is being replaced by this one. We have admire IE from Win 2000 to Win 8.1, seriously ? no!!
So, still codenamed as "Project Spartan" browser is going to be most important leap in Windows 10. There is everything new as integration of Cortana, Offline Reading, Annotation Methods included with legacy of IE and new rendering engine. It's really going to be great for users and developers as well.

Continuum Mode: Thing I have discussed earlier and have studied how it all works. The best thing so far but not the least. It will give two-face to your PC by detecting the mode where Windows 10 switches itself easily between "Desktop Mode" to "Metro Mode" as it detects the transition (which is basically occurs by attaching input devices).

Okay, the last thing which will give you a shock. I'm also waiting for Window Phone 10 Preview, but if you'll open Windows Insider in Windows Phone, it will show you "Get Notified" things. Means it's not gonna roll out in January. Let's see, whether it's earlier February or last one.
Except few of devices (because of hardware requirements, probably Lumia 520), every Windows Phone currently running on WP8.1 will be upgraded to Windows 10.

But here is something you'll love to have your hands onn... Yeah WINDOWS 93, I know it doesn't exists but yes it does. It starts with Green Screen and with inexplicable PS1 Sound which let you know that you've logged in. It looks like a parallel version of Windows 95. It also contains some fun stuffs ( I like "I am not a virus.. Trust me, I'm a Dolphin"). Give it a try, it's a great art project you can go on with. You can also go with Poney Jockey which will open get of hell for you or You can face Hydra in your computer.

Microsoft Skips WIN-V9, jumped on Windows 10

Post By - Tanmay | 10/01/2014 06:42:00 am

Microsoft announced Windows 8 and going to give “Windows Insider Program” today by 1700IST. I have visited my dream spark account to get a chance to see Windows 10, bt there is nothing :p
Anyways let us discuss about Windows 10, the new features and there are much things that I’m gonna love (Yeah you too).

Microsoft skips 1 step which seems clearer that this installation would be great in comparison to previous installation basically it is coming with the new “SnapAssist UI”, which is really gonna help you in more ways than you would think. If we talk about the major release of windows 10, then it is supposed to be the ancient Start Menu which is going to be served with Modern Application Icons.

Lets come to the future of features :
The traditional Desktop is in action : Now you can use windows start menu also in windows 10. It looks like more familiar also with Metro apps icons, looks like they were merged to Windows 7’s start menu and there task bar will have a new button with Task View  which will help you to take a look at all the open and running application in your systems.
CSBEANS_PREVIEW

The charm bar is also included which you will get when you slide to right up corner. Windows 10 will look like a desktop if you use keyboard and mice but for the devices without mice and keyboards it will become in action with all live tiles and stuffs.
As with one of the update in Windows 8.1 Embedded (Which I’m Using) you will able to work with your desktop app with Metro apps, the Windows 10 will also provide you with an option to resize it, based upon your requirement, yes you will be able to work on both.

Multiple Desktop, One System : I don’t know about all users but, personally yes it is most important feature to me. I use to keep a software to increase functionality, but this Win 10 version is really going to help me with this stuff. Thanks to Snap Assist UI  which provides us some important feature as two add more and more desktops. This is same as Apple OS X or any other Linux based operating system ( we use Red Hat in labs ). You can differentiate between your work files and home files.

A new gesture in Windows 10 is also added that if you swipe from Left then it would give you the Task View Manager, and the functionality of charm bar is still the same.

Microsoft introduces new feature Continuum also. Which is not available in Desktop Build Preview but will be available in Releases. Once you will get Continuum, your system will become capable of knowing that is there any mice or keyboard is hooked up and if yes, it will make your desktop more friendly.

You can get it here – http://preview.windows.com

More is going to be launched.

So, the rumors are true, Microsoft buys Mojang, the developer of most addicted game Minecraft in $2.5 Billlions
As statistics says that Microsoft buys it in more than 17 million times by Mac and PC users alone.

By this deal, Mojang will be a part of Microsoft Studios where Halo and Fable are managed and Microsoft also announced to keep it available across all the major platforms as PC,iOS, Android, Xbox and Play Station.

Here Goes the Press Release -

Sept. 15, 2014
Iconic cross-platform franchise to become part of Microsoft Studios.
REDMOND, Wash. — Sept. 15, 2014 — Microsoft Corp. today announced it has reached an agreement to acquire Mojang, the celebrated Stockholm-based game developer, and the company’s iconic “Minecraft” franchise.
The Mojang team will join Microsoft Studios, which includes the studios behind global blockbuster franchises “Halo,” “Forza,” “Fable” and more. Microsoft’s investments in cloud and mobile technologies will enable “Minecraft” players to benefit from richer and faster worlds, more powerful development tools, and more opportunities to connect across the “Minecraft” community.
Under the terms of the agreement, Microsoft will acquire Mojang for $2.5 billion. Microsoft expects the acquisition to be break-even in FY15 on a GAAP basis. Subject to customary closing conditions and any regulatory review, the acquisition is expected to close in late 2014.
Available across multiple platforms, “Minecraft” is one of the most popular video games in history, with more than 100 million downloads, on PC alone, by players since its launch in 2009. “Minecraft” is one of the top PC games of all time, the most popular online game on Xbox, and the top paid app for iOS and Android in the US. The acquisition by Microsoft brings a new chapter to the incredible story of ‘Minecraft,’” said Carl Manneh, CEO, Mojang. “As the founders move on to start new projects, we believe the high level of creativity from the community will continue the game’s success far into the future.”
Microsoft plans to continue to make “Minecraft” available across all the platforms on which it is available today: PC, iOS, Android, Xbox and PlayStation.

More details will be available upon the acquisition closing.

Windows Phone Based Without 'Phone' Branding : GoFone ( BTW Nice Phone )

Post By - Tanmay | 9/15/2014 05:22:00 am

As we noted previously that 'Microsoft' is planning to re-brand their 'Windows Phone' by removing 'Nokia' as well as 'Phone also. So, the first W-Phone seems to be spotted at Website created by A British Website called as My Go. The website also put a line 'Confidential' which means we can assume precisely that the upcoming W-Phone is going to create a new blunder.

As you can see GoFone is loaded with Win8.1 and Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, it also contains 4.7inch IPS Dragontrail Screen which is said to be Crack-Resistant also.
This smartphone is having 8GB internal memory with 15GB of One Drive Space.

Main camera is of 8MP where as it also boast 2MP of Selfie Cam. Supposedly the line under site says "...its cool to be square" seems as new quotation line of GoFone.

As Microsoft haven't says anything about the launch we can say it is expected though.
'Nokia' with it's 'Connecting People' message was one of the most prominent brand in the world of Phones and it was also more respected then Microsoft.
Microsoft is supposed to remove it's Brand name 'Nokia' from it's phones which may lead to disconnecting people from that believe.

Let's see, How it all goes.......
